Move over American Psycho, Man on Fire is also headed to the small screen

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Just in case you didn’t get the memo, AMERICAN PSYCHO is getting the small screen treatment. At least it’s not AMERICAN PSYCHO 2, right? No disrespect to Mila Kunis but that was a stinker. No one seems to hip on Patrick Bateman in his 50s acting crazy and preying on women.

If that doesn’t do it for you, maybe a MAN ON FIRE series will. Yes another movie is getting the television treatment. Just add it to the list amongst AMERICAN PSYCHO, FARGO, BATES MOTEL, and I just found out that RAMBO is on there as well.

The Fox/New Regency TV adaptation will not directly follow the 1980 novel from A.J. Quinnell, instead it will also leap forward taking place, “18 years later, as Creasy and Pita reconnect, teaming up to take apart the cartel that was responsible for the kidnapping, and all the death and destruction that turned the lives of the pair upside down, 18 years prior.”

The late Tony Scott directed Denzel Washington and a young Dakota Fanning in the 2004 film version. Writer for the TRON: LEGACY sequel David DiGilio has been hired to pen the series.

No projected premiere date was given.
