International trailer for A Cure For Wellness will give you the creeps

Having seen the first 35 minutes of A CURE FOR WELLNESS last week at the Fox Showcase, I can genuinely say that it is a creepy and provoking flick in the making and I'd expect no less from director Gore Verbinski. While many know him from his PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN days, he's also the guy responsible for THE RING, which made us all dread phone calls and VHS tapes (not to mention dead ghost girls climbing out of wells, of course). Now, he's back in the thriller genre and WELLNESS has all the eerie creepiness you can handle with some mysterious twists scattered throughout that will make you think twice the next time you head to the spa. Now, we've upturned the South Korean trailer for the flick, which is sure to drive my above points home.

Just hop in the tub, close your eyes and relax…

While this already looks cool enough, Verbinski commented last week during the Fox Showcase that he hopes this movie will do for wellness spas what JAWS did for beaches. And if that's not enough, he finished off by saying that he hopes this movie will "f*ck you up". If there's ever something I'd hope for in a twisted thriller, it's just that.
