We've seen a few stills and a clip from the Hank Williams biopic I SAW THE LIGHT starring Tom Hiddleston as the country music star, and now the first trailer has finally been released. Based on the Colin Escot book Hank Williams: The Biography, the upcoming film comes from FLASH OF GENIUS director Marc Abraham, and also features the talents of Hiddleston's fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe star Elizabeth Olsen, David Krumholtz, Bradley Whitford and Cherry Jones.

Synopsis:

I SAW THE LIGHT, the story of the legendary country western singer Hank Williams, who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life.

Hiddleston performed all of Williams' music in the movie himself, and although Hank Williams III may not be happy with Hiddleston's singing skills or the fact that a British actor is playing his grandfather, he seems to be doing a great job of channeling the late country singer in this first trailer.

I SAW THE LIGHT premiered earlier this year at the Toronto International Film Festival (you can check out Chris Bumbray's review here) and has been set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
