Yet another win for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle!

The action-comedy JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE continued to fight off challengers this weekend, remaining in first place at the box office with an estimated $20 million!

The PG-13 sequel has now spent three weekends in a row at the top after settling for the runner-up spot behind STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI for its first two weeks in theaters.

The $90 million adventure with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black has gathered a domestic total of $316.9 million (if it can keep chugging to $353 million, it will pass FURIOUS 7 to become The Rock's biggest domestic hit).

Director Jake Kasdan's crowd-pleaser has also collected $767 million worldwide, so another trip to the jungle seems fairly certain.

Opening in second place was the new military action movie 12 STRONG with $16.5 million.

Telling the true story of horseback-riding Special Forces soldiers in Afghanistan, the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced adaptation of the book "Horse Soldiers" cost a reported $30 million.

The R-rated war drama with Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon didn't receive a hero's welcome from critics, who gave it a 54% average on Rotten Tomatoes. You can check out the JoBlo review HERE.

In third place was the new cops-and-robbers thriller DEN OF THIEVES with an opening of $15.3 million.

The R-rated heist movie was about average for star Gerard Butler's latest action efforts, landing between the $13.7 million opening of last October's GEOSTORM and the $21.6 million weekend for 2016 sequel LONDON HAS FALLEN (also written by DEN director Christian Gudegast).

The majority of critics locked up the $30 million L.A. crime story with an average of 40% on Rotten Tomatoes (the JoBlo review is HERE).

Director Steven Spielberg's drama THE POST was in fourth place with $12.1 million, dropping only 37% from last weekend's wide expansion. The fact-based journalist thriller with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks has a $45.1 million domestic total so far (on a $50 million reported cost).

Hugh Jackman keeps drawing audiences to his circus with THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, in fifth place this weekend with another $11 million. The $84 million musical now has a domestic total of $113.4 million and a worldwide total of $231 million.

The talking bear sequel PADDINGTON 2 wandered up a spot to sixth place with $8.2 million, losing just 25% of business from its opening last week for a ten-day domestic total of $25 million (it has $172 million worldwide from its pre-holiday international release).

The PG-13 action-thriller THE COMMUTER was in seventh place with $6.6 million. Liam Neeson's latest travel trouble decelerated by 51% from its third-place opening last weekend for a ten-day domestic total of $25.7 million.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI was in eighth with $6.5 million, Force-pushing it over $600 million and holding at #6 for highest-grossing domestic releases of all time (behind the $623 million finish of THE AVENGERS). Director Rian Johnson's chapter of the sci-fi saga has a worldwide total of $1.29 billion.

In ninth place was the spooky spinoff INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY with $5.9 million as it reached $126.8 million worldwide (on a comparatively meager $10 million budget).

Opening in tenth place was the new PG-rated romance FOREVER MY GIRL with $4.7 million.

The country-music melodrama (featuring HAPPY DEATH DAY star Jessica Rothe) only cost a reported $3.5 million. Critics switched off the Southern soap opera with an average of 18% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Outside the chart, the Taraji Henson assassin thriller PROUD MARY disappeared after one weekend, along with sequel PITCH PERFECT 3 and Winston Churchill biopic DARKEST HOUR. Paul Thomas Anderson's PHANTOM THREAD expanded to nearly 900 screens for $3.3 million, while Margot Robbie's skating scandal I, TONYA was on 800 screens for a $3 million weekend.

Next week finishes up the post-apocalyptic young-adult trilogy with MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE, and Christian Bale rides into wide release with the Western HOSTILES.
