It's funny how an awesome sounding movie starring several talented actors can slip under the radar and start production without much buzz, but that's exactly what has happened with David Mackenzie's COMANCHERIA. The STARRED UP director is currently filming his new movie, with a cast that includes Chris Pine, Jeff Bridges, Ben Foster, Katy Mixon (Eastbound & Down), Kevin Rankin (Breaking Bad, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES), and Dale Dickey (WINTER'S BONE).

The 2012 Black List screenplay was penned by Sons of Anarchy actor Taylor Sheridan, who also wrote the script for the upcoming Denis Villeneuve-directed thriller SICARIO.

Synopsis:

Two brothers, one an ex-con and the other a divorced father of two kids, face the foreclosure of their family’s West Texas farm. They team for a skillfully-calculated bank robbing spree that puts them on a collision course with two Texas Rangers determined to take them down.

Pine and Foster are playing the two brothers, while Bridges is playing one of the Rangers who is trying to catch them. A release date hasn't been announced yet for COMANCHERIA, but it will probably be in theaters sometime next year.
