The green-band trailer for the horror anthology The ABC’s of Death is just as awesome as the red-band trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

From the directors of…everything, comes this new horror anthology THE ABC’S OF DEATH, featuring a cavalcade of style and genre mash-ups that are sure to be a visceral punch to the face.  Well, that’s what it looks like anyway.  I have to be honest, I kind of dismissed this when the red-band trailer was released, which is rare.  However, after a second viewing and now with this green-band trailer to compound it, I’ve come to the conclusion that I must see this pic.  I mean, mech robots, flamethrowers, claymation, furries, and the promise of horror gore galore is more than enough to lock me down for 90 minutes or so.

The film is broken down into 26 segments by 26 different directors from all over the world who brought us such films as THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, TOKYO GORE POLICE, HITMAN, METALOCALYPSE, and many more.  It’s a shlock and awe fest to be sure and I am completely on board.

Here’s the green band:

And now, the red band:

Here’s the lowdown:

Twenty-six directors. Twenty-six ways to die. The ABCs of Death is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived, with productions spanning fifteen countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world’s leading talents in contemporary genre film. Inspired by children’s educational books, the motion picture is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free reign in choosing a word to create a story involving death.

The bat-shit craziness that is THE ABC’S OF DEATH will hit VOD on January 31, 2013 and slashes up theaters on March 8, 2013.
