Tease for Molly’s Game offers glimpse at Jessica Chastain’s poker prowess

Aaron Sorkin is already one of the most prolific writers of our time, having penned classics like A FEW GOOD MEN, THE SOCIAL NETWORK and STEVE JOBS. Now the man is moving from behind the pen to behind the camera as he delivers his directorial debut, MOLLY’S GAME, starring Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba. The full trailer debuts tomorrow, but for you now is a quick look at the movie via a new teaser laced with quick cuts and lots of shady poker dealings.

GAME tells the story of Molly Bloom (Chastain), a once Olympic skier who ran one of the most successful underground poker rings, featuring Hollywood actors and Russian mobsters among her clientele. She ran this operation for almost a decade, all before she was arrested by the FBI in the middle of the night.  The movie also stars Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, James D'Arcy and Chris O'Dowd.

These little teases aren’t much to go on, even when it comes to dialogue, something Sorkin excels at. Still, it’s enough to hint that Chastain will deliver a commanding performance in the lead role, further proving why she’s one of the best leading ladies working today.
