Jamie Lee Curtis tweets first day shot for Halloween

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Seasoned Hollywood veteran Jamie Lee Curtis has posted a photo to her Twitter account which proclaims, "First shot! First day. Same slate. Same Laurie." In the photo, you can see the legendary actress looking laid back and ready to give the iconic masked killer, Michael Myers, a run for his money. Meanwhile, stationed behind Curtis is HALLOWEEN director David Gordon Green (PRINCE AVALANCHE, JOE), who looks eager to cut his teeth on his first time helming a chapter of John Carpenter's fabled horror franchise.

You can check out Curtis' post below:

In HALLOWEEN, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Joining Curtis for this most horrific reunion will be Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner, Will Patton, Nick Castle, Miles Robbins, Andi Matichak, Dylan Arnold, Omar J. Dorsey, Rhian Rees, Drew Scheid, with original Myers actor Nick Castle and stuntman James Jude Courtney suiting up as Michael Myers.

The much-anticipated sequel has been filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area, which has recently been transformed to give you that old Haddonfiled feelin'. From what we know so far, the new film will ignore every chapter of the franchise save for the 1978 original. Which is probably for the best, all things considered.

How Laurie will come into contact with Michael, once again, is unknown at this time, though you can bet that their reunion will be a most-unwelcome experience for Laurie, who'd prefer that the masked killer who terrorized her remain dead and gone, forever.

HALLOWEEN will arrive in theaters on October 19th.
