Goon: Last of the Enforcers

As a proud Canadian, it's pretty much an un-written rule that I would grow up loving poutine, maple syrup, and hockey. Well, two out of three ain't bad. Despite my Canadian roots, I've just never been all that interested in hockey. The last hockey game I watched was the final game of the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals between the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers. Yep. However, hockey movies, I'm all over those for some reason, and GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS is the latest example of a hugely entertaining hockey movie. The Jay Baruchel directed flick has already been released in Canada, but its U.S. debut is approaching and a brand-new trailer has been released which showcases Seann William Scott's return to the realm of ice and blood.

GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS also stars Alison Pill, Marc-André Grondin, Wyatt Russell, Callum Keith Rennie, Jason Jones, Jay Baruchel, Elisha Cuthbert, Kim Coates, and Liev Schreiber. Our own Chris Bumbray reviewed the sequel earlier this year and called it, "a bold, energetic sequel that seems to be patterned somewhat on ROCKY II."

The official synopis for GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS:

After one too many injuries, hockey enforcer Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott) is forced to give up his aspirations of going to the big show and settle into a buttoned down career as an insurance salesman at the urging of his pregnant wife Eva (Alison Pill). However, Doug can't resist the siren call of the Highlanders, so he sets course to reclaim his former glory.

GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS will hit select theaters in the U.S. and on Digital HD/On Demand on September 1, 2017.
