Jennifer Garner unleashes a mother’s fury in the violent Peppermint trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. In the new revenge thriller from STX Films, Jennifer Garner stars as a young mother Riley North (Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla. Channeling her frustration into personal motivation, she spends years in hiding honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force – eluding the underworld, the LAPD and the FBI- as she methodically delivers her personal brand of justice. Directed by Pierre Morel (THE GUNMAN) and written by Chad St. John (LONDON HAS FALLEN), PEPPERMINT turns the "fridging" trope on its ass by making Garner's Riley the sole survivor of terrible tragedy, and a woman who will stop at nothing until justice for her dearly departed family is served.

Starring alongside Garner in the bloody action flick are Richard Cabral, John Ortiz, John Gallagher Jr., Juan Pablo Raba, Method Man and more.

In recent times, Garner has starred as Emily in the Greg Berlanti-directed romance drama LOVE, SIMON. Currently, she is busy filming her role as Kathryn for Lena Dunham and Jennifer Jonner's CAMPING TV series. The aforementioned show is a U.S. adaptation of the British series which tells the story of what happens when a man's camping trip with his wife and friends spirals out of control.

Meanwhile, you can catch Gerner when she unleashes hell as PEPPERMINT explodes into theaters on September 7th.
