It’s official, Cloak & Dagger are connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

While early buzz is setting up Marvel's CLOAK & DAGGER to be the surprise smash of the Summer, the upcoming show's executive producer Joe Pokaski has recently revealed that characters Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen are indeed a part of the studio's cinematic universe. Pokaski confirmed as much while speaking with TVLine, though he did state that he's "not allowed to talk about the timing in terms of Infinity War." What does that mean exactly for Marvel's warriors of both light and darkness, exactly?

"We've had some exciting conversations about how we could artfully cross Tandy and Tyrone over [to other Marvel properties]," he explained. "The beauty of these two is that they can show up anywhere [and it makes sense]." Pokaski also stated that there would be plenty of Easter eggs hidden throughout the first season of CLOAK & DAGGER for both hardcore and casual Marel fans to find. "There are at least a dozen Easter eggs in the first season that Marvel approved, and a few more that I snuck in there," Pokaski baited. He also mentioned the inclusion of a popular and fictitious Marvel organization called Roxxon Corp., which had already featured in movies and series like IRON MAN 2, AGENT CARTER, DAREDEVIL, and IRON FIST. "We're excited to have Roxxon Gulf, our Louisiana version of Roxxon represented," said Pokaski.

Obviously, the question on everyone's mind is: When can we expect to see Tyrone and Tandy to crossover with some of Marvel's mightiest heroes? Unfortunately, the answer is either unknown or unable to be revealed at this time. Personally, I think it would make sense for CLOAK & DAGGER to cross paths with RUNAWAYS, which airs on Hulu and is currently preparing for its second season. In the past, both Cloak and Dagger have teamed up with the wayward teens of Marvel's Runaways in the comics, so why not bring that super-powered synergy to the small screen, right?
