Wakanda will play a huge role in turning the tide of Marvel’s Infinity War

When Thanos and his Black Order come to lay the smackdown on Marvel's mightiest heroes, many signs are pointing to the final battle taking place in Wakanda, the African nation governed by King T'Challah aka Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), his loyal kin, and the fearless Dora Milaje warriors. It's the perfect locale in which to duke it out with Josh Brolin's Mad Titan, and may very well be the final resting place for some of cinemas most memorable superheroes of the past decade.

Recently during an Infinity War set visit, Screen Rant (as well as other outlets), were given the opportunity to speak with actors Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Boseman about just how important a role Wakanda will play in the events to come. “Hugely,” remarked Ruffalo. “There’s no way to overcome what they’re facing without in some way coming to terms with their differences and embracing their diversity. That’s essentially a core value of the film and that together, only together, can they triumph,” Ruffalo continued.

Boseman then joined Ruffalo in fielding the question by saying, “You definitely see where some of the [technology] gap is,” Boseman added. “You see where the gap is and what some things we’re able to do that they’re not able to do, and that one you will definitely find.”

Unity appears to be a major theme of the film, which is quite cool considering that AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR follows Marvel's BLACK PANTHER, wherein the city of Wakanda (and its advanced technology) was finally revealed to the rest of the MCU. Now, it stands to reason that characters like Tony Stark, Captain America and others will be curious about the mysterious nation, particularly with regard to how they can establish an alliance with one another in the interest of defeating Thanos' army.

Before moving onto other topics, Ruffalo assured visitors to the set that they can expect to see plenty of "great Science Bros. stuff" in the movie. After all, once you get Stark, Banner, Panther, Strange and Shuri all sitting around the same table, some zany comic book-inspired science shenanigans are bound to occur. Buckle up, kids, this is going to be one hell of a ride!

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR will superhero-land in theaters on April 27th.
