Jim Gianopolous says A Quiet Place sequel with Krasinski is in development

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

During Paramount's presentation at this year's CinemaCon 2018, studio chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos announced that a sequel to John Krasinski's A QUIET PLACE is in the works. Our own Paul Shirey happened to be in attendance during the event, and shared the following via our official Twitter feed:

Directed by John Krasinski, A QUIET PLACE focuses on family who is forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound. The film has scored the second-largest domestic debut of 2018 so far when it bowed earlier this month to $50 million in ticket sales. The intese drama is currently holding a 95% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and even managed to defeat Brad Peyton and Dwayne Johnson's RAMPAGE for a week at the box office. The film has grossed $213 million worldwide to date, and is still playing at a theater near you.

No release window was given for the sequel.
