Keanu Reeves has confirmed the actual title of the next John Wick movie

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Recently while engaging in an exclusive interview with ComingSoon.net for his role as Lucas Hill in the Matthew Ross-directed romantic thriller SIBERIA, Keanu Reeves confirmed to the outlet that JOHN WICK: PARABELLUM is indeed the official title of the third chapter in the JOHN WICK series of films. Up until recently, many were left to assume that the movie would be called JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3, though apparently that is no longer the case. Or maybe it never was? Dun dun dunnn!

“Prepare for war,” Reeves warned. “It’s part of that famous sentence, ‘Si vis pacem, para bellum,’ which translates as, ‘If you want peace, prepare for war.'”

When JOHN WICK: PARABELLUM is locked and loaded and ready to invade theaters, the sequel will pick up shortly after the events of JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2, with Reeve's fine-suited assasin on the run due to a $14 million dollar bounty being placed upon his head for breaking an oath to never take a life while in the hallowed halls of the Continental Hotel. According to the rules, Wick should have been shot on-site, though Winston (Ian McShane) gave John a one-hour head start before alerting New York's deadliest killers to his newly revoked status.

Set to star alongside Reeves in JOHN WICK: PARABELLUM are Halle Berry, Anjelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Mark Dacascos, Yayan Ruhian, Cecep Arif Rahman, Tiger Hu Chen and Jason Mantzoukas, with Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, and Common expected to reprise their roles as well. Chad Stahelski will direct from a script written by Derek Kolstad.
