John Moore TAGS

Review: I.T.

PLOT: An air transport tycoon ( Pierce Brosnan ) has his world turned upside-down by a psychotic I.T. consultant (James Frecheville). REVIEW: I can’t say I expected all that much from Pierce Brosnan ’s latest vehicle, I.T. The trailers seemed pretty goofy, positioning this as a kind of ‘Mr. Robot’ vs TAKEN, and I was especially wary of John Moore...

Here we go again, Die Hard 6 is back on the drawing board with Len Wiseman

Even after A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD was almost universally panned by just about everyone, it seems that you can't keep John McClane down. Rumours of a sixth DIE HARD film had been spoken of even before A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD was released, but development on the sequel screeched to a halt after the critical thrashing that the last film received. Now it appears that DIE HARD 6 is back...

Shekhar Kapur to helm the pilot for Lifetime's Omen series Damien

Despite the stigma many hold when they hear anything related to the Lifetime cable network, they have just added some talent to their OMEN series DAMIEN that makes me a little more interested in the project. DAMIEN comes from showrunner Glen Mazzara, best known for his stint on THE WALKING DEAD as well as the Starz series CRASH before that. Mazzara is producing the six episode first...

Reboot of the remake of The Omen is coming from 20th Century Fox

Despite being rebooted less than 10 years ago and with an upcoming television series in development, 20th Century Fox has decided that we need a new take on THE OMEN and will be rebooting the acclaimed horror series. Bloody Disgusting broke the news regarding the reboot that will be a co-production between Fox and Platinum Dunes. While the 2006 version from director John Moore did...

Former Walking Dead showrunner to write/produce TV series based on The Omen

THE WALKING DEAD and AMERICAN HORROR STORY proved that horror could exist on the small screen while HANNIBAL and BATES MOTEL showed that you could reboot iconic films for television. So, which classic will get reinvented next? How about THE OMEN? Glenn Mazzara, the departed showrunner from THE WALKING DEAD who took over from Frank Darabont , will write and produce the pilot for...

Blu-Ray: It's a Good Day To Die Hard for Hansel and Gretel's Warm Bodies

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, and WARM BODIES have a lot in common.  They all feature over-the-top action, zombie-like creatures, CGI blood, and dynamic duo team-ups.  I've only seen one of them and that was the unfortunate 5th entry in the DIE HARD series.  I doubt an extended cut will improve it by much, but you never know.  HANSEL AND...

Was Mark Strong almost the villain in A Good Day to Die Hard?

Mark Strong plays a really good bad guy. He has appeared in a ton of movies over the last few years including SHERLOCK HOLMES, JOHN CARTER, KICK ASS, and STARDUST. He has also played non-villains in TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY, ZERO DARK THIRTY, and more, but he tends to focus on unlikeable characters. If you see his name in the credits, you are safe to assume he is going to be yelling...

Director John Moore talks working with Bruce Willis on A Good Day To Die Hard; also, is there a longer cut on the horizon?

I know that some of you dug it, but for me, A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD was not up to par.  I'm not going to jump into a rant about it, as we've already heard plenty already, but the disdain for the film by many (most?) is something that factors into this story.  It seems that director John Moore , who generated next to no excitement upon being announced as the helmer of the fifth...

C'mon Hollywood: Listen to the fans (they know better)!

Last week I went and saw a little movie called A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD and, like many of you, walked out feeling like an asshole for shelling out $8 bucks to a tired, shitty, brain-dead entry in a bottoming out franchise. I hit the Internet once I got home and immediately saw that Bumbray had posted his review and sure enough he confirmed that the movie was a festering turd. I...

What did you think of...A Good Day to Die Hard?

The original DIE HARD movie is one of the best "action movies" of all-time, and certainly one of my favorite movies of all-time (action or otherwise), so we decided to spend this past week kicking all kinds of DIE HARD ass on the site, but alas, it seems as though the "pay-off" ultimtately didn't pay off as both of our reviewers didn't care much for the latest installment called A...
