Bruce Willis, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren are back in the saddle again in the first trailer for Red 2

When I went to do the set visit for the first RED installment, I knew that it was going to be a hell of a lot of fun. What do you expect when you get an interesting cast together that consists of Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Helen Mirren? Then top it off with the fact that they were basically a rag tag group of retired CIA black-ops agents. This film basically put Willis back into some action that was reminiscent of what he used to do in the height of his career (not that it’s ever really waned).

RED 2, as far as I know, actually came across to most movie fans as a fun and entertaining action flick. It also showcased a more comedic side of Malkovich, especially since he was playing this total crazy ass. When it comes to the sequel, if this trailer is any indication then we are looking for the same sort of good time with this flick. However, I do wish that there was more Anthony Hopkins, then again it will be more of a fun surprise when his character is revealed in the film. I’m excited, you should be too.

Check out the trailer below.

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world—and stay alive in the process.

RED 2, starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung-Hun Lee, Karl Urban, Neal McDonough and David Thewlis will release on August 2nd.
