First Bohemian Rhapsody trailer is here to rock your world

Freddie Mercury remains one of the greatest – if not the greatest – rock n’ roll frontmen of all time, and with the other members of Queen dazzled millions of fans around the world with powerful anthems and glorious stage shows.  It was only a matter of time before his larger-than-life persona and story were brought to the big screen, and now we have that movie in BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY. Rami Malek (MR. ROBOT) stars as Mercury in the film, and in the very first trailer looks AMAZING as the rock god, exuding the singer’s energetic stage presence and lavish style. Oh, and the movie itself looks pretty fantastic too.

A foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury's lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

Wow, this movie looks incredible. Lavish, lively, some tremendous concert scenes and, again, what looks like fantastic work from Malek. Some controversy is attached to the movie in the form of director Bryan Singer, who was fired from the movie late last year after complaints of bad behavior, which included clashing with Malek on several occasions. Director Dexter Fletcher came in as his replacement and finished up the movie, which looks great. That last part is the only thing that matters now, and hopefully, RHAPSODY can deliver on its lofty expectations this November.
