I Want That: The Simpsons Lego set!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

In the last few years I've become a bit of a LEGO nerd, which I'm both proud and ashamed of. So it goes. The fun of putting together a bunch of little bricks and pieces is a fine way to pass the time, especially with so many cool properties to choose from, including Marvel and DC Superheroes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and many more. Now, fans of Fox's The Simpsons will have their LEGO dreams come true as the company will release the first ever set of the popular cartoon series, which comes in the form of 2,523 pieces which make-up a house, car, and six minifigures, including Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa, Maggie, and of course, Ned Flanders.

Take a gander:

“We know our fans will love the challenge of building the Simpsons’ family home in great detail and the ability to collect quintessential characters in Lego minifigure form,” said Jill Wefert of the LEGO Group in a press release. Additional minifigures are expected to be released in May when a special "LEGO" episode of The Simpsons will air.

You can pick up the LEGO Simpsons set at your local store (or online) when it goes on sale February 1, 2014 for a hefty $199.99.
