The author of Twilight no longer likes Twilight

I think it’s no surprised that the majority of our readers were counting down the days of when the TWILIGHT franchise ended. There were so many things wrong with the material but there’s no point in taking time to explain each flaw.

However, no one seemed to hate TWILIGHT more than Edward Cullen himself, Robert Pattinson. He’s gone on record to say more than a few hilarious things about the series but one of my favorites comes from an interview in 2008:

“When I read it … I was convinced that Stephenie was convinced that she was Bella, and … It was like it was a book that wasn’t supposed to be published, like reading her – her sort of sexual fantasy about some – especially when she says that it was based on a dream, and it’s like, ‘Oh, then I had a dream about this really sexy guy’ and she just writes this book about it, and there’s some things about Edward that are just so specific that … I was just convinced that this woman is mad, she’s completely mad, and she’s in love with her own fictional creation.”

Or this:

Writer Stephenie Meyer has now learned the error of her ways, and recently expressed this to Variety in the only way she knows how:

“I get further away every day. I am so over it. For me, it’s not a happy place to be.”

Meyer has begun to separate herself by doing promotion of the upcoming AUSTENLAND which she produced. The film centers on a woman obsessed with PRIDE AND PREJUDICE who travels to a Jane Austen theme park in search for her own Mr. Darcy.

Would she ever go back to the tales of bestiality, necrophilia, sparkly men, perfect haircuts, absurd dialogue, pedophilia, and anything but strong female characters?

“What I would probably do is three paragraphs on my blog saying which of the characters died. I’m interested in spending time in other worlds, like Middle Earth.”
