Trailer for horror remake Silent Night starring Malcolm McDowell and Jaime King brings the holiday fear!

Okay, well, that headline is an exaggeration.  This won’t likely bring much fear, but potentially some good ol’ cheesy horror fun.  SILENT NIGHT is a remake of the old-school horror flick SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT, in which a deranged maniac dressed as Santa Claus goes about slaughtering folks due to being abused at an orphanage.  It’s unclear if the remake is following that model, but it still looks like a pretty good time.

What would you like for Christmas (Don’t say axe to the face)?:

This isn’t high art, but c’mon…it’s a guy in a pyscho Santa suit killing people.  Plus, you’ve got some good B-movie stars (who have played in the A-list sandbox) like Malcolm McDowell, Jaime King, and Donal Logue.  A good trick would be to pop this sucker in with a group of unsuspecting friends who have come over to your place to watch a joyous Christmas movie and then BAM!  Nope, just psycho Santa killing people on Christmas Eve.  More egg nog?

SILENT NIGHT will have a limited theaterical run on November 30, 2012 and then hit blu-ray/DVD on December 4th, 2012.

Oh, and don’t forget to put Jaime King on your Christmas list...
