Seth MacFarlane and his Ted writers take their talents to a live-action TV series

Seth MacFarlane has already found plenty of success on both the small and large screen* – will lightning strike for the umpteenth time with a new untitled live-action TV series?

MacFarlane will executive produce the show alongside Alex Sulkin and Wellesly Wild, two gents who both co-wrote TED with MacFarlane and have written/voiced “Family Guy” and “The Cleveland Show” and will now be in charge of writing this new show should Fox pick it up.  To be fair they don’t really have a choice as the show has been guaranteed a “put pilot” situation, meaning that the pilot has to be air and the studio has to pay a high penalty fee if they choose not to expand the pilot into a full series.

The series itself is intended to revolve around “two successful guys in their 30s and the insanity that ensues after their crazy fathers unexpectedly move in with them.”

Seth MacFarlane’s last attempt at a live-action series was 2007’s “The Winner” starring Rob Cordry that lasted for six episodes and had the plot line of “a successful guy looks back to the time he spent living with his parents when he was in his thirties.”

*TED’s worldwide grosses currently exceed $400 million.  True story.  What do you think about that?
