Ridley Scott reveals his title for Prometheus 2

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

With director Ridley Scott making the publicity rounds on THE MARTIAN, he's been revealing all sorts of interesting tidbits for his upcoming sequel to PROMETHEUS. Yesterday's news clued us into the fact that there might even be 2 or 3 more sequels in the works, but now we have word from Ridley Scott himself via HeyUGuys that he has given a title to his sequel to PROMETHEUS, and that's ALIEN: PARADISE LOST.

Given that Scott has stated the ties to the ALIEN franchise "won’t be in the next [PROMETHEUS film]. It will be in the one after this one or maybe even a fourth film before we get back into the ALIEN franchise", it's odd that ALIEN would be right up in the title of this new flick. It seems to me that most people would prefer if PARADISE LOST would actually separate itself further from the ALIEN series, but I suppose there's money to be made in a license. We'll have to wait and see if ALIEN: PARADISE LOST is here to stay or if it's just a working title.

ALIEN: PARADISE LOST, or whatever they end up calling PROMETHEUS 2, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 30, 2017.

How do you feel about Ridley Scott's title for the sequel?
