Kristen Wiig responds to Bill Murray’s Ghostbusters endorsement

Yesterday we shared with you Bill Murray’s dream team of four actresses that he’d like to see strap on proton packs for an upcoming all-female GHOSTBUSTERS reboot. He dropped the names of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Linda Cardellini and Emma Stone. Kristen Wiig is at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting THE SKELETON TWINS and gave her thoughts on Murray’s endorsement. No surprisingly, her comments are pretty darn funny, and would be true for most people I think.

“That’s very flattering; I guess they’re making one from what I hear, which is pretty great. I will do whatever Bill Murray tells me to”

Fellow SNL alum and co-star in the THE SKELETON TWINS Bill Hader chimed in:

“I don’t want to pressure you, but you should do it…And you should have a friend, who’s, like, a guy who has to carry around your proton pack.”

At this point we don’t know for sure if there will ever be another GHOSTBUSTERS movie, but that female cast would be alright with me. The rumors of another movie have been going on for 20 some years; I don’t think it’s quite at reality yet but someone has to be noticing all the louder than usual talking going on these days.

My three candidates.

Here’s the trailer for the lovely looking movie THE SKELETON TWINS starring Wiig and Hader:
