The spy spoof genre has given us so many classics one could be forgiven for saying they’re even more popular than the movies they’re spoofing. You can go back decades and find action-comedy flicks that still have scores of fans today – like SPIKES LIKE US, NAKED GUN and TOP SECRET – while movies like KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE have put a whole new spin on the genre, proving there still some gas in the spy spoof tank. The sequel to the latter, KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE, begins showing in theaters today and to mark the occasion we have compiled a new top 10 list comprising of some of the best films to spoof, satirize and pay homage to the spy genre.
