First footage of Christopher Plummer in All the Money in the World is here

The movie news was left virtually speechless after it was announced that instead of pushing back the release of ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD so that they could reshoot the movie without Kevin Spacey, director Ridley Scott would do all the reshoots in a matter of days with actor Christopher Plummer replacing him. This seemed an almost impossible task, but Scott is a pro, and already we have the first footage of Plummer in the role of J. Paul Getty in the new TV spot for the movie.

We already saw the original trailer for the movie so in terms of overall content it’s nothing special, but it feels so weird to see the same scenes we saw with Spacey now having Plummer in them. He looks more natural for the part, being of appropriate age and not being under a mound of makeup like Spacey. This whole scenario is still messing with my head, but clearly, this is evidence how much of a veteran Scott is, and all the props in the world go to Plummer for taking on such a daunting role in such a small amount of time.

ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD is set for December 22.
