Get ready to rekindle some more nostalgia as ABC is set to film a proof of concept pilot for The Muppets. This latest iteration will be brought to us by Bill Prady, who more recently was responsible for co-creating The Big Bang Theory. Prady will also be working with Bob Kushell (Anger Management) in bringing this pilot to life.

Word is that the concept for the pilot involves the original cast of characters created by Jim Henson meeting up at ABC Studios to talk about the possibility of performing in another Muppet show. Pretty meta, huh? The fly in the ointment is that Miss Piggy refuses to sign on due to her love life with Kermit the Frog being a total mess. Will the two rekindle their relationship? Will ABC make a season order? Will you be able to get the theme song out of your head?

The Muppets didn't exactly kill it with their last movie, MUPPETS MOST WANTED, so the transition back to TV makes sense. I can't pretend to have any kind of love for Big Bang Theory, but given Prady's involvement working with Jim Henson back in 1982, he certainly seems more qualified than most. I personally never got around to watching The Muppets when I was a little Wist, but have enjoyed pretty much everything I've seen. That includes Muppet Vision 3D at Disney's Hollywood Studios, right?
