London Has Fallen Goes Boom October 2015; Gerard Butler Set to Return

The upcoming sequel for the Antoine Fuqua-directed OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN now has an official release date and storyline. LONDON HAS FALLEN will also see the return of Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart in their respective roles as ass-kicker and President of the U.S.A.  The good news is that it sounds just as crazy as its predecessor so you know it's going to be messy!

No director is assigned to the sequel at this time and there is no official word on whether Radha Mitchell, Angela Bassett or Morgan Freeman will reprise their roles.

Check out the synopsis:

The sequel begins in London, where the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances. His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the Western world. But what starts out as the most protected event on earth, turns into a deadly plot to kill the world's most powerful leaders and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States, his formidable secret service head (Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.

I didn't think Olympus was as batshit as the other "White House is on fire!" movie WHITE HOUSE DOWN, but it definitely stretched the realm of reality a few times. That’s all good for watching a movie where the only purpose is to entertain, and at the end of the day, I was entertained. What do you guys think, are you ready for some noise in London?

LONDON HAS FALLEN plans to drops nationwide on October 2, 2015.
