SELMA and 13TH have solidified Ava DuVernay as a force to be reckoned with, and in March, she’ll deliver what we hope will be another masterwork with the fantasy/sci-fi tale A WRINKLE IN TIME. Some new images for the movie recently dropped meaning the first trailer could arrive any day. With Disney’s D23 currently underway people have been eagerly awaiting the footage, and needless the say the House of Mouse delivered. Thanks, Mouse! Check out the footage below!

Visually the movie looks stupendous, and not just because of the visual effects and costumes, but in large part thanks to the production design and how the shots are framed. It comes off as some sort of hybrid between a commercial Disney film and an art house science fiction tale. I expect much less in the trailer, perhaps just a few shots across a short time frame. But there's so much bursting at the seams here as we see tons of different locations, costumes and CGI-action. If the movie is a grand an adventure as the trailer we could be looking at a new, marvelous and unique Disney classic.

A WRINKLE IN TIME with Chris Pine, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Pena, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and more is set for March 9, 2018.
