The trailer for The Little Prince celebrates a myriad of artistic styles

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Written in 1943 by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, "The Little Prince" tells the story of a pilot stranded in the desert who meets a young prince fallen to Earth from a tiny asteroid. The film, from Paramount Pictures, takes the quasi-PRINCESS BRIDE route in that it will tell a story behind the story. This is a trailer best experienced rather than told about, so check out one of the more unique-looking animated films to come our way in 2016!

I'm actually a huge fan of the different artistic styles employed in order to tell this tale. This trailer hits all the right dramatic notes and from what I can hear, the voice acting, consisting of Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, Marion Cotillard, Benicio del Toro, James Franco, Ricky Gervais, and Paul Giamatti, sounds top notch. Pixar hasn't exactly been doing it for me lately, so it's great to have something else to look forward to come March of next year.

THE LITTLE PRINCE will open in theaters on March 18, 2016.
