There is a reunion of sorts taking place with THE OTHER GUYS stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. A few months ago we let you know that the duo was looking at headlining the upcoming comedy DADDY'S HOME with Wahlberg set to replace replacing Vince Vaughn. It looks like that’s all come to fruition and so fans of Ferrell and or Wahlberg can now look forward to more hilarity.

Here is the synopsis:

DADDY’S HOME follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.

Sean Anders (HORRIBLE BOSSES 2, THAT’S MY BOY) will direct the screenplay written by Brian Burns (Entourage), with revision Paramount notes from Anders, John Morris (DUMB AND DUMBER TO), Chris Henchy (THE CAMPAIGN, THE OTHER GUYS), Adam McKay (ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEDGEND CONTINUES) and Etan Cohen (TROPIC THUNDER).

Ferrell and Wahlberg worked very well together in THE OTHER GUYS, so I’m excited by the ideas of watching them team up again which will probably include them yelling at each other. Looking at the hands that have touched this project too is encouraging; I expect jokes!
