Zootopia is still on top!

For a third weekend, Disney's city of animated animals was the most popular destination, keeping ZOOTOPIA on top at the box with an estimated $38 million!

The critter-filled CG family feature has crossed $200 million domestic (passing the totals of the studio's TANGLED and WRECK-IT RALPH) and is edging toward $600 million worldwide.

Opening in second place was THE DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT with $29.1 million. The latest entry in the dystopian young-adult saga marks a low point for the franchise after DIVERGENT's $54.6 million opening in 2014 and the $52 million start of last year's INSURGENT. And there's still a final chapter expected in theaters next year.

The second DIVERGENT episode directed by Robert Schwentke (RED) cost a reported $110 million and barely got into the double digits on Rotten Tomatoes with a 10% critical average.

In third was the new religious drama MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN with an opening of $15 million (and a total of $18.5 million since its Wednesday release). The Jennifer Garner-starring story of a young girl's illness and recovery only cost a reported $13 million, and has a current average of 54% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The subterranean suspense movie 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE came in fourth this week with $12.5 million, down 49% from its second place opening last weekend. The J.J. Abrams-produced thriller has a 10-day domestic total of $45.1 million (on a reported $15 million budget).

DEADPOOL is still kicking (punching, stabbing, shooting, etc.) in fifth place with $8 million, after a month and a half spent in the Top 5. Ryan Reynolds' R-rated carnage expert is up to a $340.9 million domestic total, putting it past fellow Marvel Comics adaptations GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ($333 million) and SPIDER-MAN 3 ($336 million).

In sixth was LONDON HAS FALLEN with $6.8 million and a domestic total of $50 million on its third weekend. Behind Gerard Butler's merciless Secret Service agent, things took a significant turn downward: Tina Fey's R-rated comedy WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT was in seventh with $2.8 million, followed by romcom THE PERFECT MATCH and Sacha Baron Cohen's spy comedy THE BROTHERS GRIMSBY, respectively down 56% and 57% from their anemic openings last week.

Leonardo DiCaprio's award-winning endurance test THE REVENANT took advantage of the slow weekend to drag itself back onto the chart in tenth. The movie that scored another Oscar for director Alejandro González Iñárritu has now made $483 million worldwide.

Outside the chart, GODS OF EGYPT (which managed to reach $128 million worldwide) disappeared along with Christian dramas RISEN and THE YOUNG MESSIAH (after only one week in the Top 10). The gymnastics comedy THE BRONZE opened on 1100 screens and made $421k, a dismal per-screen average of $361. In limited release, the Michael Shannon sci-fi thriller MIDNIGHT SPECIAL had a strong $36k per-screen average.

Next weekend brings the anticipated superhero throwdown BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, and a counterprogramming attempt in the comedy sequel MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 2, plus the limited release of Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams in I SAW THE LIGHT.
