A writer has been found for the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean

It doesn’t really matter whether you want another PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie or not because there’s a fifth one coming. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES made shiploads of money (thanks, Paul) so the rolling out of another installment was inevitable.

Disney has hired Jeff Nathanson (CATCH ME IF YOU CAN) to script whatever the fifth PIRATES movie is going to be called. Of course, it’s too early too know what the plot is and who among the stars will be back. I’m sure you can count of Johnny Depp though. I think it’s fair to say that Depp really loves the role, and enjoys where the road takes him with it. Depp hasn’t signed on as of yet. Right now, he’s wondering if the ALICE IN WONDERLAND sequel will be a good idea, and will need a good script to seal the deal.

Not sure who all here saw the last PIRATES movie, but it just didn’t work for me. I mean, I still got the fun aspect out of it, but I missed Bloom and Knightley. However, I was thankful for Ian McShane in an capacity.

Maybe this one will give me what I want. Nathanson, don’t let me down.
