Wolf of Wall Street actor P.J. Byrne joins Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage

I'll tell you something. At this time, I've written three articles in regard to this film, and I still can't believe that it's actually happening. Baily Midway's RAMPAGE was a huge part of my childhood arcade experiences, and it remains as a game I enjoy playing to this very day. I've got a copy of it on at least two platforms, and I always choose Ralph, the were-wolf-like monster, because he's the best. Needless to say, no matter how ridiculous I anticipate this movie to be, I will see it. In fact, I'll pre-order tickets and be there with my nerd flag held high.

Today, it's been announced that WOLF OF WALL STREET actor P.J. Byrne will star alongside Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, and Breanne Hill for the cinematic monster mash. As of the moment, Byrne's role in the film remains a mystery, though one would assume that he'll be working alongside Johnson's zoologist character in the fight against a gorilla, crocodile, and wolf set on destroying North American cities and landmarks.

You guys, I can't help myself, I am so stupidly excited to see what the hell this movie has to offer! The fact that the film reunites Johnson and his SAN ANDREAS crew of director Brad Peyton and producer Beau Flynn is signaling to me that, at the very least, we can expect some high-profile, destructive special effects, and perhaps a fair amount of cheese for this one. I am all for that. After all, a film with such a fantastical premise should be outrageous to a certain extent, no?

New Line will release RAMPAGE on April 20, 2018.
