Shortly after learning that Quentin Tarantino had scored legendary actor Al Pacino for his upcoming ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD drama, Variety has exclusively announced that James Marsden and AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE actress Julia Butters have signed on to star in the Manson Family murders pic. Those close to the film have not revealed who either actor will play in the film at this time.

The story takes place in Los Angeles during the Summer of 1969. The two characters set to lead the film are Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), the former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth, as played by Brad Pitt. Both are clawing their way into a Hollywood they scarcely recognize. Though Dalton has a famous next door neighbor … Sharon Tate.

Appearing alongside the illustrious list of aforementioned Hollywood elite are Damian Lewis as the acting icon Steve McQueenLuke Perry as Scotty Lancer, Emile Hirsch as hairstylist Jay Sebring, Dakota Fanning as Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme — a member of the Manson family — Clifton Collins as Ernesto the Mexican Vaquero, Keith Jefferson as Land Pirate Keith, and Nicholas Hammond as director Sam Wanamaker. David Heyman and Shannon McIntosh will also serve as producers on the film.
