Step Up: All In director will bring the Bellas to glory in Pitch Perfect 3

Time to get your voice warmed up, acapella fans, because PITCH PERFECT 3 has found its new director.

After news hit that PITCH PERFECT 2 director Elizabeth Banks had to drop out of directing the third flick, many aca-fans were worried they would never see the singing sensations back on the screen. But fear not, because STEP UP: ALL IN director Trish Sie is here to wipe away the tears.

The news comes from a Twitter post from Sie in which she expresses how excited she is to be directing the third entry in the aca-huge series:

Sie may not be a huge name to many people, but her work has garnered a lot of attention is the music video world, with her most notable work being the infamous “treadmill video” for the song Here It Goes Again by OK Go.  Though she may not have a ton of experience directing movies, clearly her music video work shows she’s capable of thinking outside the box.

I wouldn’t say I’m a huge fan of the PITCH PERFECT movies. The first was unexpectedly funny but the sequel was…well, it had its fans. But there’s no denying those box office numbers. The first broke out with a $65 million take while the sequel nearly tripled that with $185 million. Sie has a lot of work on her plate, and the one thing you don’t wanna do is make an aca-fan mad. They bite very, very hard.

PITCH PERFECT 3 will be directed Trish Sie and will reunite Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow.
