Mulder & Scully to return in the audio book X-Files: Cold Cases

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

While Fox tries to figure out the best way to present yet another season of their supernatural and science-fiction-heavy smash series, X-FILES, actors David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have plans to reprise their roles as agents Mulder and Scully for a brand-new audio book.

The book is entitled X-Files: Cold Cases, and will be based on the graphic novels presented by Joe Harris and Chris Carter. The story will take place before the recent revival, but after the events of X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE, as Mulder and Scully join forces to investigate a data breach at FBI headquarters which then provides a shadowy group with access to the old X-Files investigations information.

What makes this project even cooler, is that in addition to Duchovny and Anderson reprising their roles for the forthcoming Audible book release, Mitch Pileggi will once again step into the role of FBI Assistant DDirector Walter Skinner, while William B. Davis is also set to return to his puzzling Cigarette Smoking Man character for the audio book release. Also on board for the project are actors Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood as the Lone Gunmen, a trio of conspiracy theorists.

X:Files Cold Cases will be available for purchase as of July 18, 2017. While you're waiting for the book, and polishing up the lens of your trusty telescope pointed toward the sky, why not shift your gaze toward the cover for X-Files Cold Cases, which you can see below:
