Marvel’s The Punisher adds The Expanse & Star Trek actress in recurring role

It's been announced that Marvel and Netflix have added Shohreh Aghdashloo in a reoccurring role to the cast of THE PUNISHER. THE EXPANSE and STAR TREK BEYOND actress will board the show as Farah Madani, the mother of Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah), a proficient Homeland Security agent who's disquieted by The Punisher. An Iranian by birth, Farah has spent most of her life living in the United States, where she's established herself as a psychiatrist.

In the past, Aghdashloo has signed onto several projects within the Sci-fi and Comic Book-related genres. She was nominated for her role in HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG, and can be found in films like X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, THE PROMISE, and THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE. She's also done her fair share of voice acting while lending her vocals to AAA gaming titles such as DESTINY and MASS EFFECT 3. Furthermore, Aghdashloo had fufilled the role of Revah's mother in HBO's HOUSE OF SADDAM, which had been produced by THE PUNISHER showrunner Steve Lightfoot.

THE PUNISHER, starring Jon Bernthal, Amber Rose Revah, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Deborah Ann Woll, and Ben Barnes is expected to make a November, 2017 premiere (according to Dearbhla Walsh).
