The Hitman's Bodyguard still #1 with a bullet!

For a second weekend, the action-comedy THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD took the top of the box office with an estimated $10 million!

The R-rated pairing of Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds reigned over a quiet movie weekend when audience attention was otherwise diverted by disastrous weather and a hyped boxing event.

The $30 million action flick dropped by 53% from its opening last week, and has a ten-day domestic total of $39.6 million.

ANNABELLE: CREATION once again haunted second place with $7.3 million. The R-rated horror prequel from LIGHTS OUT director David F. Sandberg now has a domestic total of $77.8 million and a worldwide total of $215 million (on a reported cost of $15 million).

Swooping into third place was the animated LEAP! with an opening of $5 million.

The young ballerina adventure, featuring voice work from Elle Fanning and Dane DeHaan, cost a reported $30 million. The movie has already collected $58 million from other territories around the world, where it has been slowly arriving on screens since last October.

Rising to fourth place was WIND RIVER with $4.4 million, a big bump up the list after expanding to nearly 2100 locations. The Jeremy Renner/Elizabeth Olsen thriller has a domestic total of $9.8 million since it first started in limited release.

Director Steven Soderbergh's crime caper LOGAN LUCKY placed fifth with $4.3 million, down by 42% from its opening last weekend. The Channing Tatum/Adam Driver/Daniel Craig comedy has a ten-day domestic total of $15 million (on a reported $29 million cost).

In sixth place was Christopher Nolan's war drama DUNKIRK with $3.9 million, bringing it to a domestic total of $172.4 million after six weeks in theaters (also passing the domestic finish of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES). The WWII account now has a worldwide total of $412 million.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING stuck to seventh place for a third straight weekend with $2.7 million, as Marvel's webbed hero climbs to $318 million domestic after two months.

Opening in eighth place was BIRTH OF THE DRAGON with $2.5 million.

The fictionalized tale of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, directed by George Nolfi (THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU), got kicked in the chops by critics with 27% on Rotten Tomatoes. The JoBlo review can be found HERE.

At the bottom of the list was the animated THE EMOJI MOVIE with $2.3 million, and the R-rated comedy GIRLS TRIP, which is now up to $108 million domestic (on a $19 million reported cost).

Outside the chart, THE NUT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE skittered out of sight as the adaptation/spinoff of Stephen King's THE DARK TOWER collapsed. The 3D remastered TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY materialized on 386 screens for $582k, while WONDER WOMAN was pushed back out on 2200 screens for another $1.6 million just before its VOD release this week.

Next week has no major releases for the Labor Day weekend, but you could track down the period drama TULIP FEVER, the Noomi Rapace espionage movie UNLOCKED, or the hockey sequel GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS.
