If this trailer looks at all familiar to you, it's probably because you saw it debut a year ago under the name WELCOME TO YESTERDAY. Since then the release date has been pushed back an entire year and now sports the moniker PROJECT ALMANAC. The story centers around a brilliant high school student and his friends as they uncover blueprints for a mysterious device with limitless potential, inadvertently putting their lives in danger. While I'm not sure why the synopsis doesn't just refer to the device as a time machine, here's an updated trailer for your viewing pleasure.
The film doesn't look too bad judging from the trailer. At the time it debuted, it looked to be jumping on the CHRONICLE bandwagon, so perhaps Paramount just wanted to distance this flick from that one? Either way, it should finally be hitting theaters in two months so you can get your time travel fix.
PROJECT ALMANAC hits theaters on January 30, 2015.
