Earlier this month we got a look at the UK trailer for the spin on Jane Austen‘s classic tale of tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes…with zombies. Now the US variation is here, so how does it differ? Well, for one, there’s a lot more of Lily James kicking some major ass. It also features one of the more messy kills I’ve seen this year in a nifty POV shot. Bring on the undead!
When the UK trailer hit, I thought it was trying a little too hard to inject some attitude into it. We get it; it’s Jane Austen with zombies. This trailer, on the other hand, plays it a little more straightforward and I really dug that angle. I also really enjoyed the kills on display, here! Color me surprised that this wasn’t a red-band trailer! Admittedly I had little interest in the flick when I initially heard about it, but this looks like it may end up being one of the better Valentine’s Day flicks.
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES will open on February 5, 2016.
