New pic shows three generations of Shaft walking the NYC streets in style

Who're those dapper men lookin' oh so smooth?

Shafts!

Ya damn right!

Someone better get me a paper fan to fight off some of this heat, as a photo featuring three generations worth of SHAFT has arrived online that features the upcoming action film's stars looking mighty fine and ready to throw down, ya dig?

You drool over the style-for-days photo below:

From left to right, the above photo features Jessie T. Usher, Samuel L. Jackson, and Richard Roundtree. The three generations of Shaft cruised the New York City beat in matching brown trenchcoats draped over gray turtleneck sweatshirts for a scene in the new film. Whether Shaft family has been taking fashion tips from THE MATRIX's Morpheus remains to be seen, though something tells me that these gentlemen don't particularly need help to look this good.

In director Tim Story's SHAFT, the son of detective John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson), who after being estranged from his father, finds himself teamed up with him. The young man (Jessie T. Usher) is an FBI agent, a cyber expert, and the partnership with dad is an uneasy collision of old school meets new school. For the film, Jackson will reprise the role he expertly played in the John-Singleton-directed reboot of the Gordon Parks 1971 original.

Be sure to stay close for any other updates on this highly-anticipated sequel featuring one of the most iconic characters in gritty crime film history.

The latest chapter of the SHAFT saga is scheduled to kick in theater doors beginning on June 14, 2019.
