Tommy Wiseau’s The Room to return to theaters for a special event

Oh hi, Schmoes! Get ready to be torn apart and toss the football around, because  Tommy Wiseau's THE ROOM is returning to theaters for a one-night-only special event!

Thank's to the buzz of James Franco's THE DISASTER ARTIST, a film about the making of Wiseau's THE ROOM, the 2003 original is getting the big screen treatment in U.S. movie theaters on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. local time. In addition to the full-length feature, moviegoers will enjoy a special look at the new BEST F(R)IENDS trailer, starring Wiseau and Greg Sestero.

You can purchase tickets for Tommy Wiseau's THE ROOM by purchasing them online at FathomEvents.com or hoofing it on over to a participating theater's box office. If you're concerned about whther or not the film being screened in a theater near you, don't worry, the event will be held at a total of 500 locations across the United States. You can check to see if THE ROOM is playing at a cinema in your  city by visiting FathomEvents.com and having your zip code ready.

From the creatively twisted mind of Tommy Wiseau comes THE ROOM, an absolute traainwreck of a film that follows the story of Johnny (Wiseau). Johnny is a bank employee who, seemingly, lives happily in a San Francisco townhouse with Lisa, his fiancée. One day she gets bored with Tommy and seduces his best friend, Mark (played by Wiseau’s best friend, Greg Sestero, author of the award-winning 2013 memoir “The Disaster Artist”). Johnny screams, “You’re tearing me apart, Lisa!”– and, with that, nothing, or no one, will ever be the same.

My wife still has not forgiven me for having her sit through THE ROOM. I know the truth, though. I bet you anything that she secretly loves it. In fact, it's probably her favorite movie of all … Oh shit, I can hear her coming up the stairs. I've  gotta go.

Be sure to grab your tickets early for when THE ROOM returns to theaters for one night only!
