Showtime pairs Kevin Hart & rapper T.I. for The Studio music comedy series

If you thought the time of office-related comedies had passed, Showtime is about to prove you wrong, as they've just struck a deal for the rights to distribute THE STUDIO, a music-themed office comedy featuring comedian Kevin Hart and rapper/actor Tip "T.I." In addition to their roles as executive producers, Hart and T.I. are expected to make occasional guest appearances on the show, from Lionsgate TV.

Written by EVERYBODY LOVES CHRIS alum Aeysha Carr, The STUDIO will chronicle the day-to-day and night-to-night antics that happen in a music recording studio, the people who work in this very unorthodox office place, and the conversations you have when your peak work hours are from midnight to six AM, Hart, Harris and Carr executive produce with Brian Sher and 3 Arts’ Dave Becky.

Recently, Kevin Hart's dance card has been filling up with projects like CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE, JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, THE GREAT OUTDOORS, NIGHT SCHOOL, UNTOUCHABLE, and RIDE ALONG 3 all on the horizon. Meanwhile, T.I. recently finished participating in William H. Macy's KRYSTAL and is set to reprise his role of Dave in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP for Marvel. As a workaholic rapper and actor, T.I. has also appeared on programs such as ROOTS, Dwayne Johnson's BALLERS, and Kevin Spacey's HOUSE OF LIES. Wow! I honestly has no idea that T.I. had his hands in so many cookie jars across Hollywood!

Of the many projects that are on-deck for Hart, you can hear him voice the character of George in the upcoming animated feature CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE, which is set to swoop into theaters on June 2, 2017. If you're looking to catch up with T.I., his next role will be as Willie in William H Macy's KRYSTAL, a film about a young man living a sheltered life who develops a crush on a stripper and joins her Alcoholics Anonymous group just so he can be in the same room with her.
