This ain’t Twilight! Check out a gore-riffic werewolf transformation from Eli Roth’s Netflix series Hemlock Grove

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

We’ve all seen quite a few werewolf transformations, some more tame (or lame) than others. The most recent to come to mind are the brutes from the UNDERWORLD films and the pet wolves from TWILIGHT, which focus heavily on the CGI, which hardly hold a torch to the epic transformation from AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, which is still an amazing sequence to this day. However, it looks like a new contender is stepping into the ring with Eli Roth‘s upcoming Netflix series, Hemlock Grove.

IGN has a awesomely savage and gory transformation that is one of the most fun werewolf transformations I’ve seen since John Landis scared the crap out of us in 1981. The scene features stars Bill Skarsgard and Lili Taylor watching as Landon Liboiron “sheds his skin” in a bizzare, wicked, and gory way. Make sure you watch til the very end for a special “treat.”

Not exactly Teen Wolf:

Pretty badass, eh?  I had already planned on checking out Hemlock Grove, but yeah, now I’m f*cking excited! If that scene is any indication, not to mention the mere screen presence of Famke Janssen, as well as dependable co-stars Dougray Scott and Lili Taylor, then this could be a welcome surprise and another win for Netflix (and, consquently, their viewers).

Hemlock Grove premieres its entire first season on Netflix streaming on April 19, 2013. Eli Roth’s next feature, THE GREEN INFERNO, is slated for release later this year.
