Universal Studios to add Stranger Things to Halloween Horror Nights event

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As a fan of STRANGER THINGS, have you ever fantasized about doing battle with a Demogorgon? Does exploring the Upside Down while munching on a Eggo Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich sound like a hot ticket? It does? Well, then I suggest you brace yourself for some exciting news, as it's been announced that STRANGER THINGS is coming to Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights!

According to a Universal press release, guests who visit their Hollywood, Orlando, or Sigapore theme parks during the Halloween Horror Nights event can expect to find a movie-calibur maze inspired by the show's own mysterious town, Hawkins. As a part of the terrifying attraction, Universal will “bring the chittering, predatory Demogorgon to Halloween Horror Nights to stalk unwitting guests as they encounter iconic scenes, characters, and environments from the mesmerizing series.” As if that's not cool enough, Matt and Ross Duffer and producer Shawn Levy will play a direct role in crafting the experience, which is set to recreate parts of the series “from the menacing Hawkins National Laboratory under the U.S. Department of Energy, to the Byers home adorned with an erratic display of flashing Christmas lights, and the eerie Upside Down woods oozing a shower of floating orb-like spores.”

This year's Halloween Horror Nights event featuring the STRANGER THINGS attraction will bring guests to Hawkins beginning in September, so be sure to plan your road trip accordingly, and if you hear any alien-like chittering while you're in the maze, don't be a Bob, and just run!
