Dig that leaked Deadpool footage? The writer/producer wants your help!

DEADPOOL sounds like one of the greatest comic book films that’s never been made. There’s an audience for it and that was made abundantly clear when test footage was leaked showing the titular anti-hero in action via some nifty special effects and a performance from the Ryan Reynolds we all know and love (not this GREEN LANTERN/R.I.P.D. bullshit). There’s a lot of hurdles in the way of getting a Deadpool flick that’ll do the character justice, but writer/producer Rhett Reese is calling out to fans to let Twentieth Century Fox know that they want Deadpool, and they want him now!

Can a Twitter campaign change the course of film history? Stranger things have happened, but Twitter is not exactly the deciding factor on whether or not films are greenlit. Still, I don’t see any harm it could do to promote what I feel is a good cinematic cause. Even if it doesn’t happen, it’s good to know you’re not alone when you’re passionate about something. If anything, a shit-load of tweets will keep players like Rhett Reese and Ryan Reynolds fighting to get this film made. If that’s the case, I can re-tweet every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
