The horrors of PTSD invade the new Thank You For Your Service trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety disorder that can occur after a person has been through a traumatic event. It comes in many different forms, and is often difficult to treat, as the triggers for the condition reside in the individual's lasting emotional and physical scars.

In THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, director Jason Hall aims to take a detailed look at how serving one's country can sometimes leave a mark on those who protect and defend. The film will be structured as to share the stories of three American soldiers who return from Iraq and struggle to reintegrate with their families and adjust to civilian life while also struggling to forget their memories of war.

Here's a look at the brand-new trailer for the film:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE is based on the non-fiction novel of the same name by David Finkle and stars Miles Teller, Haley Bennett, Amy Schumer, Kate Lyn Sheil, Joe Cole, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Erin Darke, Brad Beyer, Scott Haze, and Kerry Cahill.

The film is expected to pack an emotional gut-punch in theaters on October 27th.
