The Empire Strikes Back Mark Hamill Banner

How would you like to own the DL-44 Blaster used by Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK? The 12-inch long prop was originally gifted by Hamill to an eight-year-old fan on the BBC show Jim'll Fix It, and is now up for sale at auctioneers Nate D. Sanders of Los Angeles. Apparently the blaster (which was used by the actor for all the non-firing scenes) is in very good shape (and still has its original flash suppressor and scope), however it does have some wear from filming, including one glued section.

Nate D. Sanders rep Sam Heller says, "This is a very rare and desirable piece of Star Wars history. The recently released Star Wars flick, The Force Awakens, is on pace to become the highest-grossing film of all-time. And Luke Skywalker is one of the most beloved cinematic characters of all-time. Collectors will cherish Skywalker's Blaster Gun, which was used in the Rebel Alliance's battle against the evil Galatic Empire."

The blaster is expected to go for $300,000, which would make it the highest selling Star Wars and film weapon prop ever, breaking the records of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from the original Star Wars movie ($240,000) and the pistol that was used by Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard in BLADE RUNNER ($207,000).

The online auction is set to end on January 28, and if anyone wants to loan me 300K, that would be great.
