The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat: John Carpenter’s Halloween

After an awesome chat about the Elm Street series last week, now we can really get into the Halloween spirit. While there are a ton of fantastic horror movies to discuss that scratch that itch, why don’t we knock it out of the park? That’s right. This week we are chatting about John Carpenter’s horror classic, Halloween!

Since last October, yours truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We’ve chatted about many awesome flicks such as The Evil Dead trilogy, Cabin in the Woods, Jaws and King Kongl. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the flicks we all love with your fellow schmoes live. Opinions will be shared. Thoughts will be provoked. Fun will be had by all.

All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username. Come prepared with talking points or questions, or feel free to just hang out and and see what everyone else is discussing. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.

And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. Directly insulting someone will not be put up with.

Halloween is one of my top three movies ever made. It’s such a landmark film of it’s genre that it still terrifies people 34 years after it’s release. This is as close to a perfect movie as it gets. The spine-chilling soundtrack. The fantastic performances. The oppressive atmosphere that’s filled with dread. It’s got everything you could possibly want in a horror film. There isn’t many movies that fit this time of year as well as Halloween. If you are feeling the need to get into the Halloween spirit, then you will definitely want to join us this Sunday at 7 pm EST.
