First look at DiCaprio & Pitt in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is here

ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD from director Quentin Tarantino is boasting an incredible cast of amazing talent, with actors Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio leading the pack. Having both been in Tarantino movies in the past they will be side by side in this one, and if you’re trying to imagine how awesome that will look then try no longer because the first look at the movie is now up.

Leonardo DiCaprio posted the first look at the two in character on his Instagram, and they’re both looking good in their late-60s duds. They got the hair, the turtlenecks, the denim, the chains, etc. I know it sounds impossible to look good in any of that, but these men are pulling it off.

DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton, a former Western TV star, and Pitt is Cliff Booth, his stunt double and friend, and the story centers on these two as they try to make it big in the film business in Los Angeles in 1969. The movie sports an impeccable lineup that includes Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, Burt Reynolds, Al Pacino, Tim Roth, James Marsden, Scoot McNairy, Michael Madsen, Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch and Damian Lewis as Steve McQueen. Hopefully, this image means that looks at the rest of that cast aren't far off either.

Tarantino spoke with DiCaprio at CinemaCon in April, and he said there that the teaming of DiCaprio and Pitt is the "most exciting star dynamic duo since Robert Redford and Paul Newman." DiCaprio chimed in, declaring his love for the screenplay and excitement over starting the project.

As an L.A. native being immersed in this era and time and the way he's gonna do it with such incredible authenticity and I can tell you having read the script already it's one of the most amazing screenplays he's ever written and that's saying a lot because he's done some masterworks in cinema history. So, I'm very excited to work on the film and we're gonna do our best job to make it fantastic and I think we will."

ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD is set for August 9, 2019.
